Visual defects
Myopia
Myopia is a visual defect defined by blurred distance vision and sharp near vision.
In most cases, a person suffering from myopia will tend to squint to see better.
Today, over 35% of the Swiss population has been diagnosed as short-sighted.
Generally hereditary, other factors also contribute to its development, such as a lack of outdoor activity or excessive use of screens.
